Vicenza exhibits itself

The city of Vicenza continues its cycle of exhibitions of international importance with a view to relaunching the Basilica Palladiana and the entire city, which is presenting its candidature as Italian Capital of Culture 2024. Despite the difficulties imposed in recent years by the global pandemic, our goal continues to be that of raising the profile of the territory’s outstanding features, combining originality and attractions in our exhibition proposals.

The exhibition “The Factory of the Renaissance. Creative processes, market and production in Vicenza”, with loans coming from the most important museums in the world, places at the centre of the attention the Renaissance in the city, which underwent a transformation from being a provincial location into a capital of culture thanks to its exceptional artists, such as Andrea Palladio, Alessandro Vittoria, Paolo Veronese and Jacopo Bassano, and to the entrepreneurial capacity of the nobility of that age.

It is to this great project and vision that we look today, also in order to reaffirm the strengths of the city, with its wealth of masterpieces and top-level institutions, from the Gallerie d’Italia to the Museo Diocesano, from the Palladio Museum to the entire network of Civic Museums.

The Renaissance comes back to life in Vicenza.
We look forward to seeing you
